January 2025

We believe that equipping practitioners with new skills through our Level 4 training program and dynamic monthly Learning Groups is the key to giving more children a fair start in life.

We’re excited to share more about these initiatives in this month’s

NQF Level 4 ECD is a nationally accredited qualification that equips practitioners with practical and theoretical skills to support their careers

Breaking new ground with our first Residential Training Centre

A major milestone for Impande in 2024 was the opening of our very own Residential Training Centre.

We now have a centralised location where up to 30 rural-based ECD practitioners spread across 11 municipalities can stay and immerse themselves in quality training.

Learning Groups are the heartbeat of our practitioner support efforts, now serving over 1,300 practitioners across 943 ECD centres

Why it matters

When we equip practitioners with the knowledge, skills, and resources they need, they’re able to create nurturing, resourceful environments where children can truly thrive.

We are incredibly grateful to all our partners who share our vision and champion our mission. We look forward to working with you to give more children a fair start in life in 2025.

Network and Helpdesk

It is possible to improve access and quality of ECD when communities, government and the private sector work together

WHAT WE DO:

·         Facilitate municipal ECD Network meetings to support flow of information between grassroots ECD services, government and stakeholders

·         Provide a help desk to assist ECD centres with registration and compliance to improve child protection and access to government subsidies.
