In 2024, 857 ECD centres received a range of culturally relevant and engaging books from Book Dash through our partnership with Solon Foundation.
Book Dash gathers creative professionals who volunteer to create new, African storybooks that anyone can freely translate and distribute. Available in multiple languages, Book Dash books help boost language skills and enrich the home learning environment in rural communities.
We look forward to ECD practitioners creating a world where every child has access to quality early learning experiences through the magic of storytelling.
Little Stars packs distributed to practitioners
Through the Wordworks Little Stars programme, we’ve brought storytelling to life with story-based literacy materials for 149 ECD centres.
We also offer training and site visits to support ECD practitioners using the material, building their confidence and expertise.
Thousands more children still need our help
The reality is that there are still children out there who arrive at ECD centres every day without anything to eat.
